News Items for Term 3 2011

  • Tere will be an early closure on Wednesday , May 18th, to faciliatate meetings with the Department of Education Inspectors. Infants and First will finish at 1.30p.m. and all other classes will finish at 2p.m.
  • Congratulations to prize winners Kate Maguire (Sixth Class) and Jude Lee (First Class). Kate won First Prize in the I.N.T.O./E.B.S. Handwriting Competition for Waterford Schools and Jude won First Prize in Boland's Art Competition.
  • Congratulations also to Annabelle Walsh who won the Munster Express Colouring Competition. Click here to see her with her prize, a voucher for bowling and kidzone!  
  • Our Sports Day this year took place in the Regional Sports Centre on Thursday June 16th. We got WET but had a great time.
  • If you have used batteries at home, you may send them into school, as our Green Schools Committee are collecting them for recycling.
  • Congratulations to Sixth Class who made their Confirmation on May 14th. They worked really hard to prepare for their special day and were a credit to their parents and to the school. A big thank you to our senior choir (Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Class), their teachers and Sr. Úna for the beautiful singing. Click here to see the photos.
  • Second Class are busy making final preparations for First Holy Communion on May 28th.
  • The cost of school milk for this term is €8. If you wish to avail of this scheme for your child, please send in the fee in an envelope marked with her name.
  • 6th Class will go to Dublin for their school tour on Wednesday, 25th May. Click here for the itinerary.
