26/6/19: Senior Infants, First Class and Second Class enjoyed a lovely morning playing in the park as we count down the last few days to our summer holidays.
25/6/19: Congratulations to Aoife Lanigan from Junior Infants who won the Society of Missionary Children colouring competition. Katie won a book token and was delighted with her prize.
25/6/19: The members of the Green Schools Committee for 2018/2019 were today presented with their certificates by Green Schools coordinator Ms. Sheane. The girls did a fantastic job this year and we are delighted to have another green flag for global citizenship.Absent from the photo are Isabelle Ryan Daly and Lucy Fardey.
25/6/19: Today sixth class were presented with their end of school mugs from the Parents Association. The girls are now enjoying their last few days in St.John of God before on to secondary school. We wish them all well in the future.

24/6/19: We had a lovely afternoon in the hall today as we prepared to say goodbye to Mrs. Libreri as she is retiring this year. Every class sang a song.The classes she had taught made her beautiful cards.It was a lovely occasion. Pictured below is Mrs.Libreri with third, fourth and fifth class.
24/6/19: As Mrs. Libreri spends her last week of her teaching career with us in St.John of God her class enjoyed a fabulous morning playing in the park followed by a picnic.
20/6/19: Sixth Class had a fabulous day n their school tour to Dublin.
They visited Kilmainham Jail, the Dáil and Dublin Castle.They also managed to fit in some shopping. A great day was had by all on their last school tour in St.John of God.
19/6/19: Well done to the girls from Ms.Butler's fourth class who held their skipathon today in aid of Bóthar.

13/6/19: Second Class -Ms.Dowling and Ms.Crowley had a long but fun filled day on their school tour to Dublin Zoo. They were up very early to get the train to Dublin and all the girls were super excited.Thankfully the rain stayed away and they got to see lots of wonderful animals and had a great tour of the African Plains sections.A great day was had by all and thanks to Ms.Fizgerald, Catherine and Ms.Drohan for accompanying the two classes.

6/6/19: Ms. Crowley's second class enjoyed a very interesting tour of Reginald's Tower today. Lots of girls had never been there before but they learned so much from their brilliant tour guide Sarah.After they had finished they took a walk around the Viking Triangle and also popped into Christ Church Cathedral to have a look. It was a lovely bright and sunny morning to go on a little mini trip and was it enjoyed by all.
31/5/19:Well done to our teams who competed in the County Athletics Finals In Dungarvan this evening. In hugely competitive races we had great success with our girls under 12 winning gold in the relay , our girls under 9 won bronze in the relay and Andrea Chacko won an individual bronze in the 100m . Our girls u 10 team were very unlucky not to come home with medals when they finished a really close 4th in their relay . Isabelle Gallagher had a marvelous run in the u 12 600 finishing just outside the medals on this occasion . It was a great night and fabulous fun was had by all .
29/5/19: Second Class -Ms.Crowley and Ms.Dowling and sixth class started their drumming sessions with Rhythm and Shakes today. The girls will have four sessions and as you ca tell from the photos below they really enjoyed engaging with the activities in their first session.
25/5/19: Second class celebrated their First Holy Communion today. It was such a lovely occasion, the girls looked beautiful.They sang so well and made both of their teachers - Ms.Dowling and Ms.Crowley so proud. A huge thank you to Father Liddane and Sister Úna for helping us to celebrate this special occasion.Also thank you to the girls from fourth, fifth and sixth class who came to sing in the choir and to Ms. Sheane for conducting and to Mrs.Morris and some of the other teachers who joined in the celebrations. Finally thank you to the members of the Parents Association who organised the tea and cakes in the parish hall after the mass.It was very much appreciated. 17/5/19: Second Class ( Ms.Crowley ) , Second Class ( Ms.Dowling ) and Third class had a really enjoyable morning in the park. It was World Orienteering Day and lots of schools were invited to participate in a specially created course in the People's Park. Andrew Cox from Orienteering Ireland organised the event and all the girls had great fun working in pairs to complete the course in the fastest time possible. There was great competition amongst the girls and they were eager to complete the course as fast as possible.We look forward to doing lots more orienteering in the future.
