Dress Rehersal for Little Red Riding Hood:13/6/13
2/5/13:Fun in the Park ! It was such a lovely day we decided to go to the park to do P.E. We had races on the grass and did lots of running, skipping and jumping. We even met a dog called Lady. Then we went to the playground and went mad running around and jumping on everything. The girls loved the slide and swings. We even found two nests underneath the slide. We had to be back in school by breaktime but we were exhausted from all the activity as alot of girls were struggling to walk up the steep road back from the park. We all had great fun and if we get more sunny days will pay some more visits to the park. We took lots of photos so click here if you would like to see what we got up to. Many thanks to Martina official photographer on the day !!!!
25/4/13: Since our last update on Monday alot of our seeds seem to have taken off and are growing really well. It's amazing what a bit of heat can do.
25/4/13: Today we had some visitors to the junior infant room. TADPOLES! Martina had collected a jar of tadpoles from her pond as we had been learning about the lifecycle of the frog. She thought we might like to see the real thing. So as well as making frogs in art we got to see the tadpoles swimming around.
22/4/13: Seed Update: After only a week some of our seeds have started to poke through the soil. The sunshine last week has definitely helped them. Although all the pots got mixed up so we can't remember what seeds these are in the pictures blow. Hopefully this week should see alot more seeds peeking through.
15/4/13: It's the second week back of our last term in Junior Infants and already we have been busy. Thankfully the sun was shining and we were able to go outside to the school garden to plant some seeds. The girls planted sunflowers, sweet pea and nasturtiums. Each girl had three pots for each type of flower. They certainly got their hands dirty planting but had great fun. Fingers crossed everything will grow for us and we will have nice flowers to take home. Here are some photos taken on the day. We will keep you updated on the progress of the flowers as the weeks go by.
